HELP WANTED: Sales Manager: WORKSHOP, STAFDA/Industrial

Emerson seeks a qualified professional to lead its WORKSHOP Wet/Dry Vac sales programs in the STAFDA and Industrial channels.


Lead the organization’s sales programs in the STAFDA and Industrial channels. Plan, direct, control, and coordinate the domestic Sales organization and representative agencies. Ensure products are sold in accordance with the budgeted objectives to obtain maximum profitability and sales volume. Determine sales penetration strategies and continually evaluate the timely adjustment of sales plans and policies to meet changing market and sales.


  • Analyze, formulate and recommend policies and objectives for the organization’s Sales activities for the STAFDA and Industrial channels. Determine the most effective Sales go-to-market strategies, including pricing policies, Sales force structure and organization and terms and conditions.
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives.
  • Generate and track forecast and work cross-functionally to meet the forecast and deliver additional growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all key customers.
  • Build and lead a professional sales leadership team capable of carrying out the sales strategies and in alignment with the business initiatives.
  • Set policies, goals, and direction for various sales representative agencies throughout the US market. Ensure that the organization has the best field sales coverage available in all given markets.
  • Direct sales planning which includes an analysis of competitive products and selling techniques, field research, sales budgets, quotas, competitive pricing and distribution.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in the STAFDA and Industrial channels and leverage those relationships to expand distribution.
  • Work closely with Marketing to determine and oversee Sales promotion activities.
  • Assist in the continued development of product portfolio through product performance analysis, market research and end-user feedback.
  • Participate in various planning and strategy meetings as required by the company.

Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field. Advanced degree a plus.


7-10 years experience in the sales management function in similar markets with increasing levels of responsibility. Strong quantitative skills, financial competency and proficiency in Microsoft Office products strongly desired. Successful track record in managing independent rep agencies.
