STAFDA names 2015 officers

Members of the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association (STAFDA) elected Rod Gowett, Acme Construction Supply, Milpitas, CA, President for 2015 during the 38th Annual Convention & Trade Show in Charlotte, November 9-11.

Gowett serves as Acme’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing after selling Bay Tool & Supply to Acme in the summer of 2014. He founded Bay Tool in 1992 and has been a STAFDA member since 1994.

Terry Earle, Fort Worth Bolt & Tool Co., Fort Worth, TX, was elected STAFDA Vice President. As Chief Operating Officer and Sales Manager of FWBTCO, he serves the industrial and construction markets with their two branch locations in Dallas and Denton, TX. The company was founded in 1949 and has been a STAFDA member since 1980.

Three new Board members were also elected:

  • John Hurwitz, Co-CEO of Northeast Wholesale Nail & Fasteners Supply, Canton, MA;
  • Marc Krofchick, Vice President of Crispo Canada, Bolton, ON; and
  • Michelle St. John, Co-Owner and President of Industrial Bolt & Supply (IBS), Auburn, WA.

They will each serve three-year terms.

Two new members of the Manufacturers Liaison Committee were also named:

  • John Dominice III, of Max USA Corp., Mineola, NY, and
  • Michael Ervin of MKT Fastening LLC, Lonoke, AR.

Joining the Rep Liaison Committee were:

  • Cliff Williams of Wil.Com Associates, Inc., Green, OH, and
  • Patrick Willey, Belmont Enterprises, Inc., Houston, TX.

Elections were held this fall and the results were announced at the Annual Convention, which ran from Nov. 9-11, 2014 in Charlotte, NC.
