Walter.com wins “Best in Class” award for website

Wins 2015 Interactive Media Award.

Walter Surface Technologies is the recipient of a 2015 Interactive Media Award (IMA) for “Best in Class” websites, International Manufacturing.

In order to win this award level, the site had to meet strict guidelines in each area - an achievement only a fraction of sites in the IMA competition earn each year.

The judging consisted of various criteria, including design, content, feature functionality, usability and standards compliance. The IMA competition is an international initiative designed to recognize excellence in website design.

The Walter.com web site has been totally redesigned to deliver an enhanced user experience with improved navigation and functionality throughout.

The new site enables Walter customers to quickly access comprehensive product information, technical specifications, application guidelines, videos, blogs, a robust media centre and dealer locator links – with the ability to easily share content across all major social networking sites.

The site is a testament to Walter Surface Technologies’ commitment to innovation and digital properties as the company takes a leadership role in delivering relevant content to companies and professionals in the metalworking industry.

“We’re an innovation leader in our industry – bringing to market cutting-edge product design and engineering that ultimately helps our customers work better” says Dan Pirro, Vice President of International Marketing for Walter Surface Technologies. “This transformational thinking runs throughout our organization and that is how we are able to deliver richer online content and a navigation interface optimized for cross platform use – from desktop to tablet to smartphones. Being recognised by the IMA and its prestigious panel members is remarkable. The jury members included American Express, The New York Times, Conde Nast publications, Microsoft, Time Warner Inc., and Ogilvy & Mather.”
