Walter Surface Technologies named to ABINOX Board

ABINOX, the Brazilian Stainless Steel Association, promotes steel use in industry and consruction.

Jorge Farsky,  Managing Director of Walter Brazil, will assume the role of Communications Director of ABINOXWalter Surface Technologies announces that it has been appointed to the Board of Directors of ABINOX, the Stainless Steel Association of Brazil. Jorge Farsky,  Managing Director of Walter Brazil, will assume the role of Communications Director of ABINOX, effective immediately.

ABINOX - the Brazilian Stainless Steel Association is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the usage of stainless steel in the Brazilian market. Based in São Paulo, the organization provides its members with marketing support programs, industry training, sponsors education seminars and assists in the development and promotion of the industry.

Mr. Farsky has served as Managing Director for Walter Brazil since the regional office opened in 1996. He has been instrumental in strategically leading Walter’s success in the region. His 25 years of broad experience across the metal working industry will assist with the association’s mission.

ABINOX - Associação Brasileira do Aço Inoxidável was originally founded in 1996 as an association of stainless steel manufacturers and fabricators. ABINOX has increased the scope and range of activities over the years. It now represents of a broad cross-section the Brazilian Industry, from large multinational companies to smaller, family owned enterprises. The primary objective of ABINOX is to encourage the use of stainless steel in manufacturing and construction.
