PIP acquires Century Glove
Acquisition brings PIP president full circle: Joe Milot worked for Century until he launched PIP in 1984.
Protective Industrial Products (PIP) announces its 20th acquisition — Century Glove, Inc.
For over 75 years, Century Glove has manufactured work gloves and accessories in the United States of America.
“Century Glove will definitely add some unique products to our line and will add capacity for U.S. domestic-manufactured personal protective equipment,” said Joe Milot, President of PIP. “We plan to move this production to our McHenry Manufacturing facility in Bluffton, Indiana, the home of the most versatile production facility in the USA for the unique needs of the Safety Industry.”
Century Glove has been well known for supplying industrial gloves and accessories. To this day, Century Glove remains a leader in custom bags, gloves and wing socks.
“For us, it’s more capacity and more new products which fit perfectly into our flexible production model,” says Steve Robbins, President of PIP’s domestic manufacturing divisions, PR Industries and McHenry Manufacturing.
This acquisition represents a personal milestone for PIP and Joe Milot, who left Century Glove in 1984 to start Protective Industrial Products with longtime partner Wellson Tao, over thirty years ago.
