Lawless Group to acquire interest in Canow-Western

Canow rep agency serves California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Hawaii.


The Lawless Group (TLG) has reached an agreement to acquire an interest in CANOW-Western, Inc. (CANOW), headquartered in Chino, California.

Founded in 1978, CANOW has over 40 years of experience in representing manufacturers’ brands of products and warehousing operations in the Western United States. Bob Patch of CANOW and Richard Lawless of The Lawless Group have joined forces in California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Hawaii.

As part of the transaction and overall value creation, TLG and CANOW have agreed to establish a long-term partnership. CANOW will now be a TLG Partner continuing regular operations and operating as CANOW, Inc. – A Lawless Group Partner. Bob Patch will remain as President.

Mark Schindler, President of Lawless Sales Group, will continue to run the Lawless Sales Group operations for the Southwest territory and will not be involved in the daily operations of CANOW in the West. This will give strategic focus in both geographies continuing the consistent territory coverage and customer engagement that has made both organizations successful for years.

Bob and Richard stated, “We are excited about the new relationship and all the resources the two companies have to offer. The partnership will give our two companies a reach of 11 states across the West and Southwest.”

This acquisition comes as a continuation of growth strategies for both companies. Joining forces will preserve and build upon two great long-standing companies that were both founded in 1978.
