The Annual Winter Meeting begins with a strategic review session where board members review and discuss 2020 plans. Alongside standards development activity, there will be updates on ongoing projects. This year’s winter meeting will include deliberations regarding the following standards:

A156.3 – Exit Devices
A156.8 – Door Controls
A156.15 – Release Devices
A156.32 – Integrated Door Opening Assemblies
A156.36 – Auxiliary Locks
A156.39 & A156.40 – Residential Deadbolts and Locks

“The importance of these technical subcommittees is to determine if any current standards require updates, or to provide guidance to upcoming industry trends with new standards,” said BHMA Executive Director Ralph Vasami. “These subcommittees allow for tremendous, influential work for both the modernized standards and BHMA.”
