Makita U.S.A. wins Sphere 1 annual supplier award
Makita earns best overall score from distributor members for outstanding sales and partnership in 2020.
Makita U.S.A., Inc. has been named Sphere 1’s Supplier of the Year. The award recognizes Makita as the organization’s top preferred supplier for offering excellent service and a quality program to Sphere 1 members. The award is based on an overall support score by the entire Sphere 1 membership.

Makita received the award Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at the 22nd Sphere 1 Annual Meeting, held virtually.
Makita Wins Sphere 1’s Highest Echelon Award (Emerald Tier) for Supplier of the Year
Sphere 1, a cooperative of independent tool, fastener, and concrete accessory distributors, recognizes a single vendor partner each year in the Core Products category. Makita earned the best overall score on the Sphere 1 Annual Support Card, which ranks 97 suppliers on six individual criteria important to the success and growth of our cooperative.
The Supplier of the Year Award, considered by many as the top prize, is based on successfully meeting six key criteria including member balloting, volume, growth, number of members buying from each, successful Gateway for Growth planning, and Sphere 1 University Student Course completion.
