Located south of the downtown area at 4422 W. 49th Street, it represents the first time they will conduct business in the Sooner state.

Since the company was rebranded as Statewide Safety Systems in May 2020, CEO Don Nicholas has led an aggressive growth campaign for the provider of traffic management control systems. Statewide gained a new contract last year with the Texas Department of Transportation where they have conducted business for 20 years. A new branch office opened in Colorado Springs, Colorado, earlier this year, and an Orange County, California, office was relocated to Santa Ana in July. The larger space was needed to accommodate growth in the region.

“Oklahoma is an interesting and really great opportunity for us,” said Nicholas. “For more than 30 years, we’ve been a one-stop shop for traffic safety services to keep drivers, pedestrians and workers safe. Given our success in Texas, it was a natural move to open an office in Tulsa since the market is experiencing economic development and growth with energy, utility and highway construction.

“The state’s commitment,” he continued, “to investing in infrastructure continues to increase the need for safe, reliable and cost effective traffic control services, PPE gear and equipment. We have an experienced staff in place that is familiar with this market so we can meet the need for work zone safety across the state.”

The new office provides a convenient location near the busy intersection of Interstates 44 and 244, and includes space for Statewide’s fleet of transportation vehicles and equipment. Branch manager Ernest Livingston and Operations manager Greg Raynor bring over 40 years of transportation management and traffic safety experience to their new positions with Statewide.
