Simpson Strong-Tie Launches Fence Planner Software

Simpson expands suite of free outdoor living solutions applications. 

Simpson Strong-Tie, the leader in engineered structural connectors and building solutions, today announced the launch of Fence Planner Software™ — a robust, easy-to-use solution for simplifying and streamlining the fence planning process, allowing users to create customized designs, compile a complete materials list, and build a strong, safe fence.

Fence Planner Software joins the popular Outdoor Living Solutions platform suite from Simpson Strong-Tie that now includes three software applications that make it easy to design safe, strong and beautiful structures for outdoor living in just minutes. Other apps include Deck Planner Software™ and Pergola Planner Software™, and all three Outdoor Living Solutions apps are free to homeowners, DIYers and other retail customers who want to design and build an outdoor living space that suits their style.

For builders and contractors, the software offers a way to expand value-added services, increase customer satisfaction, and line up more projects. Lumberyards, pro dealers and retailers can additionally participate in a licensing program offering three tiers of co-branded or fully branded visibility within each app, increasing their own brand awareness and driving product sales.

Like the Deck Planner and Pergola Planner applications, Fence Planner Software is free and easy to use and features an in-app tutorial to help select various fencing styles, materials, colors and connector hardware. Users can add 3D representations of structures, landscaping and hardscape features to their design and view the entire yard design in a realistic 2D or 3D environment. Once the design is complete, Fence Planner provides a complete project guide that includes a materials list to help users start building right away.
