Spyder Products Wins Two 2023 Pro Tool Innovation Awards

Spyder's Diamond Bite Cutting Wheels and Mach-Blue Goo Metal Cutting Lubricant take honors.

Spyder Products received two prestigious 2023 Pro Tool Innovation Awards for their family of Diamond Bite™ Cutting Wheels and their Mach-Blue Goo™ metal cutting lubricant.

This year, 99 different manufacturers and brands submitted over 465 products in dozens of categories for a chance to take home a 2023 Pro Tool Innovation Award.

A panel of judges composed of contractors, construction business owners, tradespeople, and media professionals voted for the world's most innovative products in the construction and outdoor power equipment industry.

In a rigorous evaluation process spanning several dozen man-hours, the PTIA judges evaluated hundreds of cutting-edge power tools, hand tools, fasteners, products, and accessories. Spyder’s winners were based on a variety of critical factors, awarded specifically for their innovative features, technological advancements, and exceptional value.

Here's what the PTIA evaluators had to say about the winners:

Diamond Bite™ Cutting Wheels - In the concrete cutting wheel class, diamonds are a contractor’s best friend and Spyder does a couple of things with theirs that set the Diamond Bite™ cutting wheels apart from the competition.

They use a high concentration alongside a complex matrix that combines to offer cleaner, faster cutting that works in both wet and dry cutting situations. It’s a design that keeps your crew more productive while delivering quality results.

Mach-Blue Goo™ Metal Cutting Lubricant - Spyder has been making waves with its Mach-Blue power tools accessories for years and now, they’re introducing a lubricant to complement them. Mach-Blue Goo™ is specifically formulated to improve your metal-drilling with some 5 times more holes per bit and twice the drilling speed than you get from dry drilling.

The thick formula doesn’t go everywhere like oil does and is great when you’re drilling on vertical or overhead surfaces. It’s non-toxic, water-based, and works no matter which brand of bit you’re using. At less than $10, it’s a low-risk trial that will leave you coming back for more.

“We want to thank the PTIA and its panel of judges for continuing to recognize the innovation we build into all of our new products” says Ryan Campbell, executive vice president and general manager of Spyder. “We continue to listen to the pros and over-engineer all Spyder tools to withstand all-day use and abuse from professional users. And, to win against some of the best tool manufacturers in the world is really a testament to our quality.”

In its eleventh year, the annual PTIA Awards have become a sought-after platform for professionals and consumers alike, each year highlighting an impressive assortment of pioneering power tools, hand tools, tool accessories, and fasteners.

In a statement reflecting on the 11th annual Pro Tool Innovation Awards, Executive Director Clint DeBoer expressed admiration for the ongoing innovation in the industry.

"This marks our 11th year of hosting the PTIA Awards, and each year we witness an increasing level of innovation from both large and small companies." DeBoer added, "Every Pro Tool Innovation Award celebrates a product developed by people who really believe that the standard we're used to is no longer good enough."

The 2023 Pro Tool Innovation Award winners are a testament to the companies and products that propel the construction, landscaping, automotive, and manufacturing industries forward. These industry-leading products merit recognition for their role in driving progress within their respective fields.

This year’s wins marks Spyder Products 9th & 10th awards in the extremely competitive power tools accessories categories.
