During retirement, he will keep involvement with OTR, serving as a part-time consultant.
“Sandro played a major role in OTR’s global growth, helping us become the company we are today,” said Tom Rizzi, president and CEO. “He is a long-time member of the OTR family, and his retirement is well deserved. Although we’re sad to see him leave, we’re thrilled that he’ll continue consulting with us.”
Pagliarulo began his career as a mechanical engineer for Global Wheel, a South African wheel manufacturer. Eventually, he was promoted to the roles of production manager and then sales manager. As sales manager, he negotiated a joint venture between Global Wheel and OTR, and he became general manager of the new division.
In 2003 Pagliarulo became a partner with OTR when he and Fred Taylor, OTR’s founder, purchased Global Wheel. From there, Pagliarulo played an instrumental role in opening OTR’s China facility, as well as buying operations in Sri Lanka and Canada, which were merged under OTR in 2017.
“Today, OTR has a world-class management structure that sets us apart from all others in the off-road sector,” Rizzi said. “We thank Sandro for helping us achieve this competitive advantage.”
