Zircon Appoints Product Management VP

Zircon has announced the appointment of Ryan McDowell as the vice president of national accounts and global product management.

McDowell brings over a decade of experience in product management and engineering, including managing product roadmaps and leading cross-functional teams in competitive markets.

"Ryan's record of driving success in complex retail environments and his technical knowledge make him uniquely suited to lead our national sales and global product launch initiatives," said Bob Shortt, president of global sales and marketing of Zircon. "His strategic vision and hands-on approach will play a pivotal role in advancing our goals and delivering outstanding value to our partners and end users."

Most recently, McDowell served as a senior product manager at Cooper Lighting, where he managed the consumer business, developed go-to-market strategies, and launched new products.

In addition, he has experience as a national sales account manager, collaborating with major retailers, including Walmart, Costco, Amazon, and Wayfair, contributing to revenue growth across multiple channels.

His other background in engineering, including roles as a senior engineer and program manager, has equipped him with technical and project management ability. McDowell has led the development and launch of new products, secured design patents, and negotiated supplier agreements.

He has degrees in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Georgia College and State University.
