Atlas Copco Adds Three Global Compressor Manufacturers
Three compressor manufacturers from around the globe have become part of Atlas Copco Group over the past few weeks.

Manufacturers based in the United States, Spain and Korea are in the process of being acquired by the Atlas Copco Group.
Located in Dallas, Texas and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Air Mac Inc offers sales and service of compressors and blowers to commercial, industrial and municipal customers.
“With this addition to our business we can further strengthen our market presence in the region to the benefit of our customers,” said Philippe Ernens, business area president compressor technique.
A total of 40 Air Mac employees will join the Atlas Copco Group.
Arizaga Bastarrica y Compañia S.A. (“ABC Compressors”), was founded in 1943 and is located in Eibar, Spain. The company also has an assembly units in Suzhou, China and sales offices in India, USA and Mexico.
In total 319 employees will join Atlas Copco Group as part of the acquisition.
“With this acquisition we add an innovative technology which will enhance our offering within gas and air compression,” Ernens said.
Lastly, Kyungwon Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. (“Kyungwon”) a manufacturer of oil-injected and oil-free screw air compressors as well as oil-free scroll air compressors has also been acquired by the Atlas Copco Group.
Kyungwon is located and has its manufacturing plant in Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea and was founded in 1968.
The company’s portfolio of compressed air and air treatment solutions and 126 employees were included in the purchase price.
Closing transactions on each acquisition have either been completed or will be in the near future.
