SL-SideSaddle Wins OH&S New Product of the Year Lighting Award
Streamlight’s Inc., SL-SideSaddle has been named winner of Occupational Health & Safety Magazine’s 2025 New Product of the Year Awards in Lighting.

The recognition celebrates excellence and innovation in workplace safety solutions across industries.
Offering an output of 400 lumens on High and 100 lumens on Low, the SL-SideSaddle is a hands-free lighting system designed to mount securely on a wide range of hard hats, helmets, and hats. The light delivers powerful illumination with a beam distance of up to 100 meters.
"The SL-SideSaddle delivers powerful lighting and long-lasting run time in a compact, lightweight form that doesn't interfere with PPE,” said Michael F. Dineen, president of Streamlight. “Receiving this award from OH&S highlights our commitment to developing practical lighting solutions that enhance safety and efficiency on the job.”
Available in two models, one powered by AAA batteries, another featuring a USB-rechargeable battery pack, the SL-SideSaddle supports run times up to 16 hours for dependable performance across multiple shifts.
Both models feature front-facing LEDs with spot, flood, and combo beam settings, as well as a blue rear-facing taillight for increased on-site visibility. The result is a lighting tool that allows workers to both see and be seen, even in challenging conditions.
