DeWalt Unveils First Cordless 4-Inch Angle Grinder at FABTECH 2025
DeWalt unveiled the ATOMIC 20V MAX* 4-inch Angle Grinder (DCG400), the first from the brand, at FABTECH 2025 in Chicago.

The grinders are the latest addition to the company’s 20V MAX* system. Additional products joining the ATOMIC 20V MAX* lineup include the 4.5-inch Angle Grinder (DCG402), Die Grinder (DCG420) and Right Angle Die Grinder (DCG422).
The suite of grinders is designed for applications in confined workspaces and delivers more power than select HP rated pneumatic grinders without the need for hoses, or hassles of complex pneumatic setup.
“The fabrication trades, particularly fitters and welders, perform some of the most demanding applications in the field, making cordless products that meet their performance needs highly advantageous,” said Phil Bolton, Director, product management, DeWalt. “DeWalt is dedicated to meeting the needs of these trades through innovation and continuing to drive the adoption of cordless tools for safety, maneuverability, and productivity.”

Each product in the lineup is more powerful than its pneumatic counterpart and also offers a variety of additional features including electronic brakes, DeWalt’s Perform & Protect Anti-Rotation System, variable speed triggers on some models, fast guard and wheel changes, and chip-ready pairing for the separately sold TOOL CONNECT chip.
