ClarkDietrich Building Systems is pleased to announce that the company’s MaxTrak Slotted Deflection Track has received IAPMO (International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officers) Evaluation Service report ER 0145. The report confirms that MaxTrak complies with 2009 International Building Code and the 2010 California Building Code.
The MaxTrak System allows for a positive connection between track and stud that accommodates the vertical live load movement of the primary structure without transferring axial loads to the wall studs. In addition, MaxTrak 2D has slots in the web to allow for vertical movement as well as horizontal drift when seismic designs are required. This one-piece system provides significant labor-savings by reducing the number of components required to frame a head-of-wall deflection system.
“This designation confirms our commitment to providing the building community with quality products that meet local and national building codes. In fact, MaxTrak is the first and only product of its kind that meets the 2010 California Building Code,” said Michael Kerner, Code Development Manager, ClarkDietrich Building Systems. “Engineers and architects can now specify MaxTrak with even greater ease and confidence.”
MaxTrak is fire-rated, UL classified and listed in over 90 UL head-of-wall designs in the U.S. and Canada. Additionally, MaxTrak contributes to the requirements for the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED(R)) certification points in the Construction waste management, Recycled content and Regional materials categories. Like all ClarkDietrich products, MaxTrak and MaxTrak 2D are available nationwide.
IAPMO ES evaluates building products, materials and designs according to all applicable codes, ensuring continuous compliance to such standards. The organization is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and gives inspectors and other officials the confidence that products with IAPMO ES certification have met the most rigorous standards and are in full compliance with applicable codes.
