C.H. Hanson, manufacturer of the innovative Precision Ball Level, announces the introduction of its Automatic line of locking pliers and clamps. Automatics are seven times faster, two times stronger and 100 percent easier to use than traditional locking pliers on the market. Plus, the tools lock onto any size item without adjusting.

To create the Automatic line, C.H. Hanson started with the Lockjaw line of tools the company acquired in 2009 and, after conducting comprehensive end-user testing, the company masterfully fine-tuned the products. The full line of Automatic locking pliers, groove pliers and clamps has been completely re-engineered to deliver performance and durability unmatched in the industry.

Automatics are seven times faster than traditional locking pliers because they automatically lock on any size without having to adjust the tool via a knob. Using the release lever, the tools can move quickly from one object and lock onto the next providing the speed necessary to work at the highest efficiency. That means greater productivity and the ability to get jobs done faster. In addition, Automatics use the Set & Forget feature so a user can set the desired clamp pressure from slight to extreme and the jaws of the tool automatically adjust to any size with equal grip pressure.

The redesigned tools deliver twice as much power as before and even 25 percent more power than the leading competitive product. Certified by a third party laboratory, the Automatics generated 1,660 pounds of tip pressure when the handles are closed with 83 pounds of force, compared to 1,265 pounds the competitor's tool generated at the same force.

C.H Hanson further enhanced the Automatics line to improve performance and enhance the user experience including:

  • Redesign the handle to be 15 percent thinner and more ergonomic
  • Devise the release lever to provide a controlled release
  • Construct the tool to eliminate points that may pinch the user's hand
