Baffles and Can Light Covers Complement Low Pressure Spray Polyurethane Foam Offering for Weatherization Applications
Fomo Products, Inc., one of the world's largest manufacturers of low pressure one and two-component polyurethane foam sealants, adhesives and spray foam, is adding baffles and can light covers to its product offering.
"Providing our customers with a range of products that work together for best overall performance puts Fomo's product offering in line with our customers' main goal: improved complete home system performance," said Sara Jonas, senior manager - marketing, Fomo Products, Inc. "Baffles and can light covers are accessory products that work well with Fomo's Handi-Foam low pressure spray polyurethane foam (SPF) offering, and provide profitable solutions for end users."
Baffles are used to keep air flowing through an attic, preventing insulation from clogging lower ventilation and decreasing moisture build-up that can eventually lead to mold and rotting. Fomo's baffles are available in plastic (22") and cardboard (24") options. Using Fomo's Handi-Foam low pressure spray polyurethane foam around the base of the baffle will assist in air sealing an attic, while maintaining the necessary ventilation.
Recessed can lights create open holes into an attic and are a major contributor to heat entering and escaping the building envelope. Air sealing with low pressure spray foam around a can light cover in this area keeps a home insulated without the risk of a fire hazard. Fomo now offers can light covers to correctly insulate this area of air infiltration and seal the building envelope.
