Tractel Topal Plate Clamps
Tractel, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Topal plate clamps, pipe hooks and drum lifters to its extensive line of material handling products. Tractel, known for its high quality lifting and pulling products, now has available in North America a variety of additional lifting product specifically suited for lifting products including plate steel, I beams, fragile, smooth or polished pieces, steel drums and metal/concrete pipe.
Long available in Europe, these lifting clamps offer simple yet effective choices and incorporate unique features including 1) large suspension rings, which allow for ease in attaching to hoisting hooks, 2) load dependent cam actuators, which increase the gripping effort as load increases, and less gripping effort in lighter loads, 3) permanent chain length between the actuating cam and the lifting hook, allowing for additional ease in attaching the clamp to the lifting hook, 4) non-marring polyurethane coated jaws in the non-marring clamps, 5) serrated cams on one side of the clamp, which reduces the markings on the lifted piece, and means the unit has fewer parts necessary for service. All springs on the clamps are made of stainless steel.
The range of clamps include applications for vertical lifting, including single plate rotation from horizontal to vertical back to horizontal (through 180 degrees). The horizontal lifting clamp, TLH, has the ability to lift multiple plates with a variety of overall thickness. The heavy duty clamps handle applications with capacities to 7.5t. Non-marring clamps do not require the addition of any other material on the jaws to do its work, such as leather or plastic protective pads. Pipe hooks and drum lifters round out the offering.
