QA1 sponsors USCA GTV Class Ultimate Street Car Series

Ultimate Street Car Association's GTV class features cars made before 1989.

QA1 is proud to partner with the Ultimate Street Car Association (USCA) to sponsor the GTV class during the OPTIMA Search for the Ultimate Street Car series for 2018. Now in its third year, the OPTIMA Search for the Ultimate Street Car is a televised series where drivers compete head-to-head in an automotive pentathlon.

Televised on MAVTV, it’s open to anyone from grassroots to professional enthusiasts. The GTV class is vintage cars 1989 and older, with an emphasis on American Muscle, and it attracts a wide range of GM, Ford and Mopar muscle cars.

“USCA events emphasize real street cars and encourage everyone to try their hand at competing,” says Dave Kass, QA1 Customer Service Manager. “We want to support an organization that makes racing and competing accessible to everyone from entry-level competitors to professional racers.”

There are seven qualifying USCA events throughout the year that lead up to the final event crowning the ultimate street car at the OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational, held at the end of SEMA week. Participants are judged on road rally, design and engineering, autocross performance, speed-stop challenge, and road course time trials. GTV is one of five classes drivers can compete in.
