Ohio Man Poses as DeWalt Sales Rep
A 37-year-old Warren, Ohio man allegedly posed as a DeWalt sales rep and then attempted to leave a Home Depot store with over $4,000 worth of mechandise.

Court records and news reports from area television stations, show that Joshua T. Huey, 37, of Warren, Ohio, is facing charges of felony theft, possessing criminal tools, and vandalism.
Officers from the Austintown Police Department were dispatched to Home Depot on Monday in response to a shoplifting complaint.
The police report states that a Home Depot loss prevention employee informed officers that he had seen the suspect, who had identified himself as a DeWalt sales representative, cut open several boxes of DeWalt tools.
Huey allegedly used bolt cutters from another aisle to break a lock on a metal gate containing power tools, damaging the gate.
According to the police report, Huey then attempted to leave the store without paying with a flatbed cart loaded with 23 items including multiple DeWalt batteries, saws, blowers and grinders, totaling more than $4,210.
He reportedly hid batteries inside a Home Depot bucket and a DeWalt bag.
Per news reports, police impounded Huey’s Jeep and collected several pieces of evidence including bolt cutters, a broken lock, a knife, a bookbag, a DeWalt tool bag with tools and parts, and a clipboard with papers and receipts as evidence.
To assist in the investigation, Home Depot will be providing security video footage of the incident.
