Suncor Stainless Launches New Line of Grab and Slip Hooks

Suncor Stainless has launched a new line of forged surface fixed mount grab and slip hooks that it says will set a new standard for performance and safety across multiple industries.

Ideal for rigging operations in construction to material handling in manufacturing facilities, these hooks represent integral components within the industrial landscape, facilitating the secure lifting and manipulation of loads, and designed to handle heavy loads.

The patented grab hook design has multiple features for improved performance including a wider landing that supports the chain link and reduces premature damage. There are a variety of hook types, mounting options and working load limits to meet the requirements of many demanding applications.

Made from grade 316 stainless steel, this line of forged surface fixed mount grab and slip hooks is built to withstand corrosive substances, extreme temperatures, and rugged conditions to ensure performance in challenging environments and applications.

Ease of use is another consideration Suncor Stainless made during development. Features like quick-release mechanisms streamline handling processes and enhance productivity.

The hooks have a 30-degree range with quick-reference arrows indicating the acceptable direction of the load. Load angles should be maintained within this range for proper safety.

“Hooks serve critical roles in various industries, our hooks offer unmatched versatility and adaptability to suit diverse operational needs, ensuring a secure and stable attachment in any setting,” said Patrick Striebel, president and CEO of Suncor Stainless.

Two hook types are available, grab hooks for chain and slip hooks for synthetic slings or rope.

Suncor says the grab hooks accommodate a chain size range of 1/4 to 1/2 inches and support working load limits (WLLs) with a range from 2,200 lbs. to 7,300 lbs.

The slip hooks support working load limits (WLLs) with a range from 1,500 lbs. to 4,000 lbs. For weld-on options, the working load limit depends on the quality of the weld attached.
