Industrial Supply promotes Workplace Safety Week

Toolapalooza event on June 18 will feature safety training programs with DBI Sala and MSA.

Industrial Supply Company is recognizing June as National Safety Month to promote workplace safety. During Safety Month, Industrial Supply offers free safety trainings at Toolapalooza, an all-day event on June 18th in Salt Lake City, featuring a DBI safety harness demo and gas detection equipment training and safety demonstrations provided by MSA.

Industrial Supply also offers a wide selection of free training courses, audits and educational programs to support worker and employer safety awareness. Their safety experts work with companies to make sure their facilities are uptodate on compliance and health standards, and provide assistance in helping safety professionals get certified on a variety of training topics.

Industrial Supply is partnering with state legislators, the Workers Compensation Fund (WCF) and the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Utah to promote workplace safety at the first safety summit in honor of Utah Safety Week. The safety summit will be held at The Workers Compensation Fund office 100 W Towne Ridge Pkwy, Sandy, UT, on June 23rd from 8:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Utah Senate Minority Whip Leader Karen Mayne (D-District 5) sponsored legislation in the 2014 Legislative Session for annual recognition of Utah Workplace Safety Week during the fourth week of June. Utah employers and workers will come together at the WCF Safety Summit to introduce Utah Workplace Safety Week. At the event, WCF safety winners will present best practices in safety and real life how to’s for an effective safety program.

Utah employers and workers are invited to join the WCF Safety Summit at the start of Utah Workplace Safety Week, a state awareness campaign to promote safer workplaces, celebrated the last week in June.

“At Industrial Supply, safety is our top priority. We are excited to be part of a National campaign that promotes workplace safety and gives us the chance to share our safety services with the community,” says Tyler Whipple, Industrial Supply’s Safety Specialist and a Qualified Safety Sales Professional (QSSP). Tyler will be at the WCF Safety Summit to answer questions and provide information about safety services and trainings.
