Shurtape CP 27 14-Day ShurRELEASE Blue Painter's Tape

Shurtape Technologies, LLC, a leading manufacturer and marketer of pressure-sensitive tapes, has revamped its popular Shurtape® brand CP 27® 14-Day ShurRELEASE® Blue Painter's Tape.

Now available at retailers and distributors nationwide, it features a new solventless adhesive formula and high-quality backing paper, which together deliver a winning combination of sustainability, adhesion and clean removability. The result is a painter’s tape that is more flexible and features better tear resistance, helping to produce some of the best performance in the industry.

CP 27 is a premium grade, medium adhesion blue painter's tape, trusted for years by contractors, maintenance managers and more around the country. It is primarily used for interior and exterior masking and can be safely applied to multiple surfaces, including painted walls, glass, vinyl, metal and wood.

In order to improve the sustainability and environmental impact of CP 27, Shurtape engineers replaced the tape’s synthetic rubber-based adhesive with a new solventless formula. This advanced adhesive formula delivers the excellent paint lines the industry expects and prevents lifting and paint seepage. It also allows the tape to remove cleanly from surfaces without damage for up to 14 days.

CP 27 also features a new fine structured crepe (FSC) paper backing. This new backing imparts a smooth, consistent feel during the application process. It also makes the tape more flexible and responsive, yielding a more accurate and reliable application. And the FSC paper offers stronger tear-resistance compared to a standard crepe paper.
